My name is Kamal Tan. I have held the amateur radio callsign VS2FX since March 1957, a few months before Malaya's independence. After independence, my callsign changed to 9M2FX. I previously lived in Muar and moved to Melaka after marrying in 2019.

I was born on 11 September 1937. As of 25 June 2025, I am 87 years, 9 months, 14 days old.
